Interchangeable Bag Straps

The fashion season is in full swing and in the spirit of upcoming trends I have one that I would like to share with you. As you might of guessed from the photo we’ll be discussing interchangeable bag straps. I couldn’t tell you exactly who started it, but I first saw it being done by Valentino some time ago on their Guitar Rockstud Rolling Cross Body Bag. After that many other high-end brands started debuting their range of straps. As great as this trend is the price point is way more than I have or would be willing to spend as a teenager who is also in college. However, something amazing happened. More affordable trend oriented stores such as H&M and Zara have also made their own variations.

That being said this is definitely a trend I can get behind. It adds an unexpected element of surprise to a simple bag and obviously they can be interchanged to match an outfit, to add contrast to an outfit, or simply to give life to a tired bag. I’m no DIY expert, but with a little work you probably could turn a regular guitar strap or any old strap into a bag strap pretty inexpensively. If anyone decides to do this, definitely let me know. I would love to see the outcome.
