Raeven’s Raiments Vol. 1

So I’ve seen a lot of bloggers post their weekly finds or variation of the sort. I thought this would be a fantastic ideas to post some of my favorite items regularly that may not make it onto a guide. Introducing… (insert drum-roll) Raeven’s Raiments! I wanted something a little unique and played with alliteration so that it would be easily recognizable and memorable. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get one out every week so you can see what I’ve been eyeing! Also check out my Pinterest where I’m constantly posting. Let’s move onto the goods, shall we?

  1. If  you’re familiar with the Suzanna Dai (fantastic designer) Silk Ibiza Hoop Earrings, you know that this BP pair is a dead ringer. Anyone new to the statement earring trend and just wants to try it out, this $16 pair can’t hurt.
  2. Recently I have been loving everything Tory Burch is doing. Their new campaign is making me excited for the summertime. For example, their T-Tile Flat Slides. I love the bold graphic design, on trend fringe detail, and orange color. They also come in blue.
  3. It’s no secret that J. Crew is my all-time favorite store which makes me upset knowing that my local store just closed down. I found out the hard way on Spring Break the day before my birthday. Sigh. Anyways, this graphic tee is at the top of my list for two reasons. One, I love that there are women of color with figures. Two, their bathing suits are amazing. Where can I get one? Shout-out to Virginie Morgand’s artwork.
  4. Zara is another store that is bringing the heat this summer! Straw, raffia, and wicker continue to make a statement this spring/summer and this headband is an inexpensive way to incorporate raffia into your wardrobe. You can tell how much I love this trend because it makes up half of this post.
  5.  Circling back around to Tory Burch, how cute is this phone pouch?! I know, I know you might be thinking “Raeven, this is completely impractical,” but hear me out. First, let me set the scene. It’s a hot summer day, high 80s-low 90s, you’re running errands in a lightweight, flowy white dress, cute raffia sandals, oversized sunglasses and an ice cold lemonade. How are you supposed to sip on that delicious lemonade and carry bags at the same time? That’s a great question, this pouch. You’ll be hands-free with this crossbody design equipped with your phone and card holder. Still not convinced? Try this equally as cute belt bag or larger crossbody.
  6. Etsy is that place you go when you’re looking for that unique piece that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. I found that in this bag. You’ve probably seen the Nannacay bags with the pom poms. They’re similar, but the Etsy version is a little bigger, affordable, and has a unique shape.
  7. I really have nothing to say about these earrings except, how cute are they? They’re super lightweight, wonderful contrasting colors, and raffia.
  8. Surprise, surprise, another straw bag. What’s not to love. Another take on a classic. The bucket shape is everything!
  9. Ok, I promise this is the last straw related item for this post. I just couldn’t leave these beauties off the list. They’ll be perfect for the summer and those pom poms match this hat perfectly! I feel an outfit coming on.
  10. I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to my Forever 21 favorites (I have a board for everything). These sandals definitely made the cut. In fact, they made two boards (the gingham board). Enough said.

I hope you enjoyed the first installment of Raeven’s Raiments and hopefully you’ll stop by again next week. Happy Easter!
