I had such an incredible weekend spending time with the family, excluding my brother because he refused to wake up. His loss. I had it all planned out. I woke early so that I would be able to go to the farmers’ market, which starts promptly at 9 a.m. In the past my father and I walked pass the market and planned to stop by on our way back from India Fest, but by that time everything was already packed up like nothing even happened. I was convinced that would not happen again knowing that I had a narrow time-slot. I even looked it up online in advance to make sure. When we got down there it was completely empty. I know Google said it was open. As we walked further I saw a sign that said open from October-May. It’s August. That would have been nice to mention online. I had no idea this was a seasonal event. Despite that it was a beautiful day. I wore this white dress from J. Crew that I love. The eyelet sleeves make it unique. I decided to add a subtle pop of color with some blush wedges and tassel earrings and of course a hat because late August is scorching hot.
We decided to walk along the water admiring the boats and taking in the beauty of our city. Afterward we switched it up and tried a new breakfast spot. One of those places where the waitresses know everyone by name and their whole life story. Real movie like. All in all I had a fantastic day and the next time I go home I will not miss the farmers’ market.
