We’re finally in February. I say that as if it took ages to get here…but it didn’t. I’m just very excited for spring which will hopefully bring slightly warmer, less windy weather conditions. The other thing I’m stoked about is Black History Month. I’ve taken it upon myself to research different people in Black History and read about their accomplishments everyday this month. My dad always told me, if I wanted to learn our history I would have to do it myself. I would say that I’ve probably gotten a solid week worth of Black History in all my years of school. It’s quite shameful to be honest. Anyways, that will be a topic for another day. What I really came to discuss is this outfit, starting off with this sweater. It’s the J. Crew Factory version of the Tippi sweater called the Teddie sweater. I’m obsessed with them and need one in every color. They’re comfortable, easy to style, and can be worn year-round.
Although my top says winter, my pants definitely say summer. I’m wearing these linen pants from Lilly Pulitzer, that I bought in the After Party Sale about a year ago for around $30! They were big at the time, but for that price it didn’t matter. I decided to jazz this outfit up a bit with a quintessential Palm Beach style bag. My mom was given this at least ten years ago, from one of the moms who had son that played baseball with my brother. She handmade it and I wish knew if she still does. It blends perfectly with my color scheme and I love the bamboo handle.
Where I really decided to be bold is with these accessories. I’m obsessed with these J. Crew statement earrings although they are extremely heavy, but nevertheless worth it. My cuff is from BaubleBar and happens to be the first piece I bought recommended by an influencer (Kate from Lonestar Southern). I was at first disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to link it, but then I found the most amazing alternative at Nordstrom and they’re almost identical!
